The Dealer Transactions form has been improved to make it faster and easier to use.
Following feedback from licensed dealers, Te Tari Pūreke has streamlined the design of the form, removed unnecessary steps, added functionality to save licensed dealer details, and improved the arms item suggestions.
These enhancements are designed to improve the overall user experience for licensed dealers, without requiring any additional training for dealers and their staff – making it easier for dealers to maintain their record keeping obligations.
Licensed dealers have record keeping obligations under section 12 of the Arms Act 1983 and the Arms Regulations 1992. That means that some transactions between dealers and firearms licence holders must be recorded using the Dealer Transactions form on our website. This information means we can make sure firearms licence holders are aware of the requirement to register their arms items.
For the past year, firearms dealers have been recording transactions with customers through the Dealer Transactions form, which is accessible from the Te Tari Pūreke website.

The Firearms Licence Checker also has a new look and feel to align with the Te Tari Pūreke brand.
These enhancements are part of taking care of our systems, keeping them working well and continuously improving our services to make it easier to use.
