Approval to manufacture certain arms items - dealer

Use this form to apply for permission to manufacture certain classes of arms items.

You must hold a current dealer’s licence and have obtained the Commissioner’s approval.

Consent to conduct a gun show - dealer

Use this form to apply for consent to hold a gun show from a place of business other than the usual place of business before the commencement of the gun show event.

Gun shows include, but are not limited to:

  • auctions away from your place of business
  • the display of, or sales, or taking orders for arms items from a stand or display booth at an arms exhibition or arms related conference.

The application fee is $50.

We recommend you submit your application at least 28 days before the day of the auction or gun show.

Step 1: Pay the fee

Pay the application fee at an NZ Post Shop that offers the 'pay a bill' service. You cannot pay the application fee at a Post Centre.
