During 2025 the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is reviewing the Arms Act 1983.

As a firearms licence holder, you must keep complying with your legal obligations during this time as the law has not changed.

The MoJ review includes a public consultation period from 13 January to 28 February 2025.

Potential changes to the legislation are likely to be announced in late 2025 and go through Parliamentary processes during 2025-2026.
